Holocaust survivor’s heir-less fortune may end up going to New York State

In the USA, same as in Poland, the heir-less property (fortune) passes to the State Treasury. Is the USA Congress going to change that laws, as is expected it from Poland (JUST Act. S. 447)?

A $40 million fortune belonging to a Holocaust survivor is currently heir-less, and may end up going to New York State if no relative is found.
